MARCH TBR

Hey guys! So after giving myself a week to decide on what books I’m going to read this month I’ve settled on re-reading a series since the new book has just been released! As well as this I have two books I was asked to review two months ago and one from Netgalley so I’ll be reading them too and then that will be the end of my review request books.

The books I’m planning on reading this month are:

  • The Infernal Devices – Cassandra Clare
  • The Mortal Instruments – Cassandra Clare
  • The Show – John A Heldt
  • Burning Bright – Chanda Stafford
  • The Dead House – Dawn Kurtagich
  • Lady Midnight – Cassandra Clare
  • Bane Chronicles – Cassandra Clare

So obviously there’s a lot of books there and I know there’s no chance I’ll read them all so this will probably go on until April too but we’ll see when we come to the recap at the end of the month!

I’ve also just finished reading ‘Not If I See You First’  and oh my god. I can’t remember the last time I was this invested in a character! Parker was just so loveable and it had just about everything you could want in a book in it! I don’t know if I’ll review it yet as I only have the uncorrected proof and I also want to read the finished copy so I’ll have a think about that.

February TBR

Good afternoon guys! Throughout January I won a couple of book giveaways and so February will be a month dedicated to reading them because I just can’t wait any longer. I plan on reading a total of 6 books! Hopefully I’ll be able to do it.

February TBR

The books I’m planning on reading are:

  • Seed – Lisa Heathfield (this is for UKYA In The Rain)
  • One – Sarah Crossan
  • Not If I See You First – Eric Lindstrom
  • This Raging Light – Estelle Laure
  • Fallout (Lois Lane #1) – Gwenda Bond
  • The Dead House – Dawn Kurtagich

All of these books apart from ‘Seed’ and ‘The Dead House’ I won from Maximum Pop Books and I won ‘One’ from Sarah Crossan herself. I’m so excited to read them all and review them too!

Right now I’m just finishing off ‘Even Angels Fall’ by F.L Darbyshire which I received to review. I’m so late in posting the review of it but I have just under 100 pages left so it should be up in the next few days!

What are you guys planning on reading this month?

January TBR

Good morning guys! This month I’m getting off to a slow start because I’m trying to improve my blog and reading habits so I can try and read more this year so I’m only planning on reading around 4 books!

These are:

january tbr.jpg

  • The Mine – John A Heldt
  • Chaos Walking Trilogy – Patrick Ness

I received ‘The Mine’ in exchange of a review and so far I’m really enjoying the book! The story sounded really interesting when Heldt emailed me so I’m glad that the book so far is living up to what I was told about it.

The ‘Chaos Walking’ trilogy has been on my tbr for a while now and thanks to the book club I’m part of (UKYA In The Rain), ‘The Knife Of Never Letting Go’ was picked for this months read! I’m so excited to finally be able to start it and hopefully it’s as good as everyone’s been saying!

That’s all I’m planning on reading but if I do manage to finish them all before the end of the month then I’ll read one of the other books I’ve received to review.

What are you guys planning on reading this month??

IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!

Hey guys! It’s finally that time of year again and I’m super excited! I adore this time of year because it’s just such a lovely time to reunite with all your family and spend time with each other. Unfortunately, this year I’m unable to spend much time with my family as I’m working right up until the 15th and then go back to work from the 18th right up until Christmas Day which makes me realise how horrible it is having to grow up and miss out on things. This also means I have less reading time as I’d like but I’m being ambitious and aiming to read 8 books as they’re all books I have to review and it’s pretty much the same books as last month as I didn’t do very well in November either.

I have just finished reading ‘Fooling Around With Cinderella‘ and the review and book blitz for that will be posted on Monday so keep an eye out for that!

My TBR list for December:

  • The Improbable Wonders Of Moojie Littleman – Robin Gregory
  • Black Creek – Gregory Lamberson
  • The Mine – John A. Heldt
  • Even Angels Fall – F L Darbyshire
  • Down The Wormhole – Ana Franco
  • Imminent Danger & How To Fly Straight Into It – Michelle Proulx
  • The Next Together – Lauren James

I’m hoping that I manage to get through at least half of these books this month so I can read a few of the books I’ve bought in the new year before getting back into reviewing again!

I wish you all a lovely holiday season and hope you enjoy your time with your loved ones!

November TBR

Happy Monday guys! I can’t believe we’re in November already! This year has flew in. I’m so happy to have this week off after working really long hours at the World Championship Gymnastics last week so I’ll have slightly more time to read. Although I’m not working this week, I have a very busy schedule as my work’s first birthday night out is tomorrow and then from Wednesday until Saturday I’ll be seeing Twenty One Pilots and The Red Paintings twice both in Glasgow and Manchester so I’m really looking forward to that!

Reading wise, this month I was planning on going to the library and getting books out to read but I have about 8 books that I’ve received waiting to be read and reviewed so that is what the month of November will be focused on for me.

Just now I am currently reading Am I Normal Yet? by Holly Bourne and I’m absolutely loving it. I’ll be posting a review of it in the next few days so keep an eye out for that!

Here is my tbr for November:

  • The Other Son – Alexander Soderberg
  • Imposter – Chanda Stafford
  • Black Creek – Gregory Lamberson
  • The Improbable Wonders of Moojie Littleman – Robin Gregory
  • The Mine – John A Heldt
  • Demon Road – Derek Landy
  • Chained – Susanne Valenti

So, there we have it, my November tbr!

September Wrap-Up and October TBR

Hi guys! So last month was a very slow month for me as I’ve been working so much so I haven’t had as much time to read which has been disappointing because I only got to read three and a half books. All I read was The Maze Runner Series. This month however I plan on making it better and reading more! The books I’m planning on reading are:

  • The Twilight Series – Stephenie Meyer
  • Nirvana – J.R Stewart

Because I’m reading a series I’ve decided just to add one more book. If I manage to finish them all before the month is over then I’ll read one of the other books I have to read for a review!

What are you guys reading this month?

September TBR

So this month I’m reading two series’. The Maze Runner and The Twilight Saga. I originally wanted to read TMR series again before I go and see The Scorch Trials next week so I’m really excited to get back in to it! This month I also decided to start using my TBR jar so I got my sister to pick books out for me. The first thing she picked out was the Twilight Saga so I decided to stop her from picking any more out as both series make a total of eight books. If I manage to finish them before the month ends then I’ll get her to pick again for me.

My twilight books annoy me because I have Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse in the normal edition but Breaking Dawn in the white/red special edition. I’m determined to own all the books in both editions but I need money for that first, sigh.

September TBR. This month in reading two series. I originally planned to read The Maze Runner Series again because I want to read it before I see The Scorch Trials so I'm excited about that! Then for this month I decided to start my TBR jar and I got my sister to pick something from it. The first thing she picked was the Twilight series so I decided to just have these two for now since it's a total of 7 books. If I manage to finish them all before the end of the month then I'll select another out of it! I really want to get the normal edition of Breaking Dawn and I want to get the rest of the series in the White/red special edition. I just need money sigh. I also posted a review of Are You Still There on my blog so please do check that out! You can click the link in my bio to see it :) What books are you guys reading this month? ☺️ #books #bookstagram #instabooks #themazerunner #tmr #twilight #twilightsaga #edwardcullen #bellaswan #jacob #thomas #newt #thescorchtrials #jamesdashner #stephaniemeyer #bibliophile #bookworm #booklover #bookish #bookthings

August TBR

This month I struggled to pick books to read because I have so many I want to read so I decided to get my sister to help me pick out of some of the books she’s read! These are some of the ones she came up with.

  1. Tape – Steven Camden: My sister started reading this and didn’t really enjoy it but I’ve decided to give a go and see why she put it down and never picked it up again.
  2. Geek Girl – Holly Smale: This is a book that I’ve seen loads of people talk about and I’ve been unsure about whether or not I should read it but I’ve decided just to get it over and done with and see what the fuss is about.
  3. A Kiss In The Dark – Cat Clarke: I haven’t really seen much about this book but my sister kept going on about it for ages after she read it so I’m pretty excited to see why she loved it so much.
  4. Palo Alto – James Franco: This is another book I’m intrigued to read as my sister still hasn’t shut up about the book and the movie. I don’t know if it’s because they’re actually good or if it’s just because she’s a HUGE James Franco fan. I guess we’ll see once I’ve read it.
  5. The Blackmail Of Evelynn Faust – Shirley Anne Edwards: I’m currently reading this book just now and I’m not quite sure how I feel about it. I’m only about eight chapters in but I’m having mixed feelings about it. I’m going to carry on reading it to see if anything changes.

Have you guys read any of these books? How did you feel about them?

Let me know what you’re reading too and if they appeal to me I’ll add them to my TBR list!

Book Fair

Happy Sunday guys! So a few days ago I found out that in the west end of Glasgow there is a book fair every month and this weekend was when it took place. I dragged my family into town with me just so I could go and see what there was after promising I wouldn’t buy anything. It was in a small room at the back of the Botanic Gardens and although it looked tiny there were so many books and they were all so cheap! I could’ve stayed forever but I also wanted to go to one of the old record stores too. Although I said I wouldn’t buy anything I ended up seeing The Hunger Games Series and I just had to get them as I’ve been wanting to read them again for a while and then I seen Dance Of Shadows and fell in love with the cover so I just had to buy that. The final book I bought was I’ll Give You The Sun. This is one of the books I wanted to buy the other day in Waterstones but it was only £3.75 today! Who would turn that down? All the other books were only £2.50 which is a complete bargain! Yeah, they’re second-hand but they all looked brand new. I’m so happy I went today and I can’t wait until it’s back! The next time I’ll be able to go is in August as I go on holiday the weekend it’s here next month. If you live in Glasgow or near Glasgow then I recommend you go because they have just about every genre and there was also loads of special edition classics too! Here is a picture of the dates it comes back the rest of the year:

Or you can check out the website here.

Have you guys got any book fairs near you? If so comment below and let other people know about them!
