WWW Wednesday – 6th February 2019

www wednesday (1)

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all having a lovely week so far. This week hasn’t been too great mentally for me and I’m really struggling to actually find motivation to do things other than reading (when I do actually do that too). Hopefully I can find a way to pick myself up over the next few days because I really want to feel better before I start my new job next week.

Today I’m back with another WWW Wednesday post (I’m late again with this so I apologise).

WWW Wednesday is a meme led by Sam over at Taking On A World Of Words. All you have to do to take part is answer three (3) questions!

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

A few days ago I posted that I was taking part in the Polar-thon read-a-thon so at the moment I’m currently going through my books for that. Unfortunately I’ve literally just started The Wicked King by Holly Black which is only the second book for it so I don’t think I’m going to manage all 5 before the end of Sunday. I’m also listening to Sadie by Courtney Summers on Audible but I reckon I’ll finish that tonight as I only have an hour left of it. I’m really enjoying it however there are parts that have annoyed me. At the moment it’s sitting at 3.5 stars so we’ll see how the ending goes and see if anything changes!

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

This week has been pretty poor for finishing books. I only managed to finish What If It’s Us by Adam Silvera & Becky Albertalli. I gave this book 4 stars, mainly because I really couldn’t get myself to like Arthur, he was just such an asshole to literally everyone and he made every little thing all about him. It just made me so mad and it was because of that I ended up having to mark it down. I’ve also just finished reading Daughter Of Smoke And Bone by Laini Taylor and oh my god that reveal and ending!!! I honestly never seen any of that coming and I’m so desperate to pick up book two but I really need to finish the books for the Polar-thon first. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

In previous WWW Wednesday posts I’ve said that I was reading The World Of Lore: Monstrous Creatures by Aaron Mahnke and Doing It: Let’s Talk About Sex by Hannah Witton. With Lore, I had to take it back to the library and although I could’ve renewed it I decided I’m just going to wait until I can afford to buy my own copy and then maybe buy the series as I really did enjoy the part I had read and I also adore the podcast! Doing It: Let’s Talk About Sex is a book I just go to when I feel like it so I’ll finish it eventually but for now it’s just sitting on my shelf until I read some other books first.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?

As it’s the Polar-thon I’ll be hoping to read;

  • The Last Namsara – Kristen Ciccarelli
  • Snow Like Ashes – Sara Raasch
  • Northern Lights – Philip Pullman

Starting from Monday I’ll also be reading;

  • Circle Of Shadows – Evelyn Skye (Fairyloot Read-along)
  • Monsters – Sharon Dogar (Book Box Club unofficial buddy read)

Hopefully I can get my ass in gear and get all these books read in time! I guess we’ll have to wait until next week to find out how things go.

So there we have my current reads, recently finished reads and my future reads for the week!

If any of you have done a WWW Wednesday post then leave me the link in the comments so I can check it out or just let me know about your past/current/future reads as well!

Have a good few days, stay fab and I’ll speak to you all soon!
